Why I’m Running

It’s a bold move, running for Lincoln County Commissioner. It’s hard work. It’s costly, challenging and humbling.
It is also a privilege, and one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done.
I’m running because everything I have experienced since I arrived in Lincoln County has prepared me for this. I love this community. We all live here in this incredible place, and we have the responsibility to do what we can to contribute. I can help rebuild public trust, bring people together, and work to find practical solutions to the issues we face.
I followed the issues as a journalist. I got to know and interact with our community as news director at Yaqina Bay Communications radio. As Congresswoman Hoyle’s field representative, I connected with our cities, water and fire districts, local state and federal offices and agencies — and I learned how things get done. It takes realtionships, across the community and across governments, and trust.
Our county government is at an impasse. I have ideas for that. To be clear, these aren’t my ideas. They’re yours. Many of you have asked me about expanding the Board of Commissioners. I will support this.
I have always listened to our community. This is the most important thing a commissioner can do. This race, the job, the issues — are not about me. It’s all about us, our community.
Together we can move Lincoln County forward.
I need your help. Like and follow my page. Invite me to your neighborhood. Tell your friends. Donate money if you can. I’m trying to reach every voter in Lincoln County.
Most importantly, I need your vote in the May 19th primary.
